The heart of the AntiChrist
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. Daniel 8:25

As I read the Scriptures today this verse spoke deeply to me. Too often we desire to be something or someone. We want recognition. We get offended if we are not treated a certain way.
The AntiChrist is being discussed in this verse. One of the many wicked ways he will have is his pride. He will magnify himself. He will do so in heart.
Though I am fairly sure that the majority of us will never say much about "magnifying ourselves" I am afraid we might be guilty. I know that I have been and still can be. I can be too sensitive. I worry too much about pleasing others so that they will think well of me. I need to be focused on Jesus and others but am often consumed with myself. Are you? Will you be honest about that?
Let's not have the heart of the very one that hates God. I, in no way, want to be associated with or like the wicked one.
