But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. ** PROPHECIES CONCERNING “WHY HE WAS TO BE BORN” a) Isaiah 53 ** PROPHECIES CONCERNING “WHAT HE WAS TO DO” a) Isaiah 9:6-76 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

** PROPHECIES CONCERNING “HOW WE WAS TO DIE” a) Isaiah 50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. b) Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. c) Psalm 22:1 & 16-17

22 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. ** PROPHECIES CONCERNING “HOW HE WOULD BE RAISED AGAIN” a) Psalm 16:10 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. ** PROPHECIES CONCERNING “HOW HE WOULD ASCEND BACK TO GLORY” a) Psalm 24:7-10 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. ** PROPHECIES CONCERNING “HOW HE WOULD COME AGAIN” a) Zechariah 14:4

4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
