God answers prayer

Daniel 10:12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

It must have seemed to Daniel that God was not listening. It would have appeared that there was no answer to prayer or that God had not heard his prayer. But notice, He listened to the prayer the first day it was prayed. God sent the answer.

Maybe the answer takes a while to get here, but that doesn’t mean that God has not heard your prayer. God is a prayer-hearing and prayer-answering God. You can know that. It may take a while for God to answer, in our opinion, but He does answer.

I know that I often pray, and it seems that God doesn’t respond. I can feel like I am wasting my time. But faith will cause me to trust God and obey. I will pray because I know who He is. I will pray because I am commanded to pray. I will pray because I know that He will hear and answer.

So let’s pray. Let’s ask God and trust Him.
