Everything is based on the Beginning

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. 4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. 6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. 13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. 14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. 15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. 21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

  1. Blessed Day

  2. The day He finished 1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

  3. The creation was not some long process that He is still working on

  4. It was done, finished, if you want to believe the Scriptures

  5. You will have to choose here. He says that He did it in six days and finished.

  6. He said your salvation was finished too! Which is true

  7. The day His work ended 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

  8. He put it together. His work ended

  9. Another time in the second verse He reinforces that He did it and it stopped.

  10. The creation is not still continuing

  11. He said it ended

  12. The day He rested 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

  13. Rest doesn’t mean he needs to rest like you do

  14. He rested as finished, ended, satisfied

  15. He stated that it was all good. He was pleased with His work

  16. Chapter 2 is not a different creation. Those who say this just look for a way to fit evolution into their scheme

  17. They trust science over the Word of God and try to accommodate

  18. From a Biblical point of view, God did it and He finished it!

  19. Your choice as always is to believe God or yourself and others

  20. The Bible is clear. There is no doubt about what it says

  21. You do not need to look for the da vinichi code here

  22. Take it as He clearly states it

  23. The Bible consistently says that God created it all in six days, and Genesis 2:2 says that on the seventh day He ceased His creative work. Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

  24. He did not create evil, it was all good!

  25. Genesis 2 simply explains in more detail several things that God did in and through the creation

  26. There was another blessed day when He finished it all on Calvary

  27. There will be another blessed day when He comes to get us and take us home

  28. God gave man a job to do 5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

  29. Man was made to work

  30. There is dignity in work Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

  31. Work is not a result of sin

  32. Work was assigned before sin entered into the world

  33. You should work, teach your children to work, and take joy in your work I Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

  34. Adam was made before Eve I Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

  35. God instructed Adam before Eve was created

  36. The Scriptures never show God explaining to Eve what the instructions were

  37. Eve was made to be a helpmeet 18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

  38. Adam was responsible to lead his home

  39. God gave the job to Adam

  40. God gave the commandments to Adam

  41. God gave Eve to Adam as his helper

  42. Adam was the responsible one before God

  43. There is no way to dodge that Adam was responsible and cannot pass the blame to anyone else

  44. Men need to understand the position that God has given them

  45. God gave you a wife and family

  46. God’s communication was with the man

  47. The job is yours.

  48. You are the spiritual leader of your home

  49. You can't use your wife and children as an excuse

  50. You set the spiritual leadership and environment in your home

  51. We have a work to do today! We are to carry the gospel to the world. We are to spread the worship of Jesus around the world

  52. We are to lead our families spiritually

  53. We are to seek God with all of our hearts

  54. Rebellion or obedience 9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

  55. God placed many trees in the garden but two very special ones

  56. He only gave one rule, commandment, or restriction

  57. God obviously shows us that man was given a choice

  58. Man in his pride will soon think he knows better than God

  59. Every day and in every way, we make decisions about obeying or disobeying

  60. We choose to consider God wise enough to tell us instead of trying to figure it out

  61. We choose to submit or rebel

  62. All sin is rebellion

  63. Every day we make the same decision that they had to make in the garden no matter how much we would like to think it is less important

  64. We choose to do what we know to do or we choose to do what we please over His will

  65. God ordained marriage 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

  66. It is not good that man should be alone 18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

  67. The woman was not an animal or lower creation

  68. There was no animal that was suitable, fit, or right for Adam 19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

  69. God gave him a suitable helper, a face to face helper

  70. She wasn’t made as a servant

  71. She wasn’t made to keep her eyes always down on the ground

  72. She was made to serve with him as his equal

  73. She was a worthy help

  74. He was made from dirt yet she was taken from man

  75. She was his glory I Corinthians 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

  76. From the beginning God made marriage Matthew 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

  77. Marriage is for companionship 18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

  78. Marriage became a school of character

  79. Learning to live together

  80. Learning to deal with the good and the bad

  81. It will bring out the best and the worst

  82. Done correctly it will grow both of you

  83. Marriage is for reproduction I Timothy 5:14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

  84. Marriage is to be waited for I Corinthians 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

  85. Sex is not to take place outside of marriage

  86. It is always to be between a man and a woman

  87. It always about giving up control of yourself for your partner

  88. It is not about seeking pleasure but giving it

  89. When you reject God’s pattern for marriage you can only arrive at perversion Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

  90. Marriage illustrates the relationship between Jesus and the church Ephesians 5:22-33

  91. One flesh, intimacy 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

  92. There was an intimacy here

  93. They were transparent

  94. They hid nothing

  95. They relaxed with each other

  96. Marriage is the most beautiful picture of our relationship with God

  97. It is not good that we are alone

  98. We are to be separated unto Him, leave and cleave

  99. There is to be an open, transparent, trusting, unembarrassed relationship with Him

  100. Our relationship to Him is the secret to our entire life
