Dealing with people 4

As we deal with people we still must speak the truth. We will just make sure that we do so in a loving manner. We want to grow them up in Christ. We do not want to hurt them in any way. Ephesians 4:15
If we have heard that our speech hurt or we failed in any way in our lives we want to be ready to hear and act on what ever might help us grow in grace. We all want to be among the wise in this world and that means being willing to take criticism. Proverbs 15:31
We all have seen this verse and thought about it in these studies but once again lets us no communication that cuts down and hurts. Let’s be careful that no demeaning communication come out of our mouth. Let’s say what ever will help others to grow and feel a gentle sweetness as they hear the words. Ephesians 4:29
Our goal will be to keep the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:3
Let’s ask God to help us with our mouth. Pray that He will help us keep our lips shut and only use the words that we should. Psalm 141:3
So as we grow in grace like James 3:17 teaches us. If we live, work and act in God’s wisdom what we say and do will be pure, but for the sake of this study it will also be peaceable, it will be gentile, we will be reasonable, it will be full of mercy. We will treat people fairly and not be hypocritical about it. I know that is what all of us really want to do.
Dealing with people is always the hard part of ministry. But without people there would be no ministry. It is so easy to lose our patience, feel frustrated, and we will have to die to ourselves and allow the Spirit to work if we want to deal with people properly.
