Biblical Communication 15

If we are not super careful, we allow Satan to get strongholds in our life. Often we do not even realize that it is happening. He builds slowly and subtly. We give place to the devil. We grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

We fail to put off what He has commanded us to put off and forget to put on what He has commanded us to put on. We must resist the devil as he tries to draw us away from God and into destructive attitudes. We must renew our minds every day by immersing ourselves in the Word of God.

We must concentrate on using our speech in a God-honoring fashion all the time. We must care for our hearts. We must watch our attitudes and thoughts that are not God-honoring. We submit to God and resist the devil.

Adrian Rogers says the following in a message, and we should pray it right now:

"Satan, I have given you a place, but I take it back, in the name and the authority of Jesus. Satan, I don't shout at you. I don't plead with you. I don't argue with you. I don't beg you. I bring Jesus Christ against you. You have no right; you have no authority. This body of mine is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God. You are trespassing on my Father's property and, in the name of Jesus, whose I am, and whom I serve, be gone. And he'll flee from you. He will flee from you."

I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God. I want to be renewed in my heart and mind. So we put off bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking. We obey God by being kind and tenderhearted with each other. Ephesians 4:31-32 We talk with grace and a desire to bring out the best in everyone. We want God to teach us how to speak to others at all times.
